Switzerland (German: Schweiz; French: Suisse; Italian: Svizzera; Romansh: Svizra), officially the Swiss Confederation (Latin: Confoederatio Helvetica. That’s why the abbreviation is CH), is a federal parliamentary republic consisting of 26 cantons, with Bern as the seat of the federal authorities, the so-called Bundesstadt (“federal city”). The country is situated in Western and Central Europe, where it is bordered by Italy to the south, France to the west, Germany to the north, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east. Switzerland is a landlocked country geographically divided between the Alps, the Swiss Plateau and the Jura, spanning an area of 41,285 km2 (15,940 sq mi). While the Alps occupy the greater part of the territory, the Swiss population of approximately 8 million people is concentrated mostly on the Plateau, where the largest cities are to be found. Among them are the two global cities and economic centres of Zürich and Geneva.
Some famous places in Switzerland are Lake Geneva and the Alps. Many people go there for vacation, skiing, snowboarding and trying the local cheese and wine.
Here is a local Cafe, Vineyards and Lake Geneva from a video I took.

A wonderful place to stay during the Winter Season and containing some of the most beautiful slops, Grächen/St. Nikolaus is a place everyone should visit. Maybe on a honeymoon or Christmas break, the scenery and local ski city is to die for. It’s also a great place for family and kids.

Of Course, let’s not forget the traditional Swiss Cheese and Chocolate!
How the cheese is made (really cool, short video!):
I hope you enjoyed the brief and quick post about Switzerland, home of cheese, chocolate, incredible ski slopes and a beautiful wine country. Maybe you might even make it a stop on your next trip to Europe with your family? Who knows?
Have a great day and Auf Wiedersehen.
Sincerely,
Igor
